Masoudieh Mansion was constructed by Naser Al-Din Shah’s son, Masoud Mirza (Zal Al-Soltan), in 1878 and therefore is called Masoudieh Building. The first library and the museum were established in this building. Besides, it was also used as cadet at the beginning of 20th century. In 1967 the first Ministry of Education established there.

Masoudieh building complex consists of 5 buildings: forum, Restaurant, spring house,  Seyed Javadi Mansion, Moshir al-Molk Mansion and entrance hall, full of stucco, ceramics, calligraphy, graffiti and in general so exquisite decorations.

Its location Within the Baharestan sq. that many of the most important events in modern history has happened is another main characteristic of this palace.

The Palace  is open to public. It is very well known for its cozy coffee shop and its impressive breakfast menu! Some call it the best breakfast place in Tehran.

“I think this is one of the most beautiful palaces from Qajar dynasty in the city.
The fact that you can visit this place and also relax having a nice cafe/breakfast is impressive. The cafe/restaurant is nice designed and also has an interesting menu.The palace has a nice architecture and nice garden. It is a perfect place to spend time with family. I highly recommend to visit this place, definitely I will back there for a second time to have breakfast and spend more time there. Checkout my photos to have a better idea about the place.”
